Prison Break revolves around two brothers; Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and the other, a genius, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who devises an elaborate plan to help him escape prison. After getting himself incarcerated in Fox River State Penitentiary to free his brother, Lincoln, Michael is now on the loose along with his brother and six other convicts. Set to uncover the $5 million hidden by D.B. Cooper, the escapees attempt to evade capture while being tailed by both Captain Brad Bellick (Wade Williams) and FBI Special Agent Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner). Described as in the vein of The Great Escape.

Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) is a well-to-do bachelor with a house on the beach, a Jaguar in front of the house and an easy way with women. His casual Malibu lifestyle is interrupted when his tightly wound brother, Alan (Jon Cryer) who's facing a divorce, and Alan's son Jake (Angus T. Jones) come to stay with him. Together, these two and a half men confront the challenges of growing up. Complicating matters are the brothers' self-obsessed, controlling mother, Evelyn (Holland Taylor), Alan's estranged wife Judith (Marin Hinkle) and Charlie's crazy neighbour Rose (Melanie Lynskey) who wants to be a part of his life and is willing to do anything to be around. The series' premise was revamped in the ninth season, focusing on Alan and Jake moving on with their lives after the death of Charlie with help from their new roommate, Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher), who is also dealing with his own troubles following a bad divorce. The three eventually bond and help each other grow and overcome their losses.
